Frequently Asked Questions
Scout isn't recognizing the LinkedIn profile I'm viewing.
Scout works on LinkedIn profile pages (
linkedin.com/in/...) and company pages (linkedin.com/company/...).
Make sure you are on a supported page type. If the issue persists, try refreshing the page or toggling the extension off and back on from chrome://extensions.
I'm not seeing any data in the Scout panel.
Make sure you are logged in to your Signal Beam account. Scout requires an active Signal Beam subscription.
If you are logged in and still see no data, your session may have expired — open app.signalbeam.ai and sign in again, then reload the LinkedIn page.
Scout is asking for permissions. What does it access?
Scout requests access to
linkedin.com pages only. It reads the LinkedIn profile currently open in your browser
and sends that context to Signal Beam to surface relevant intelligence. Scout does not read your messages, inbox, or any other sites.
See our Privacy Policy for full details.
How do I find my Scout extension version?
Open Chrome and navigate to
chrome://extensions. Find Scout by Signal Beam in the list —
the version number is shown below the extension name. Please include this when contacting support.
How do I reinstall or reset the extension?
Go to
chrome://extensions, find Scout, and click Remove. Then reinstall it from the
Chrome Web Store. Your Signal Beam account data is stored server-side and will not be affected.
Which browsers are supported?
Scout is officially supported on Google Chrome. It may also work on Chromium-based browsers
such as Microsoft Edge and Brave, but these are not officially tested.
