1. Who We Are

Signal Beam, Inc. ("Signal Beam", "we", "us", or "our") operates the Signal Beam sales intelligence platform available at app.signalbeam.ai and the Scout Chrome Extension. Our contact address is support@signalbeam.ai.

2. Information We Collect

Account information. When you register, we collect your name, email address, company name, and billing information processed by our payment provider, Stripe.

LinkedIn profile context (Scout Extension). When Scout is active on a LinkedIn profile or company page, it reads the publicly visible content of that page (name, title, company, bio, and similar fields) and sends it to Signal Beam's servers to generate sales intelligence. Scout does not access your LinkedIn messages, inbox, connections list, or any pages other than the profile or company page you are currently viewing.

CRM data. If you connect HubSpot, we receive and store contact and deal data you authorize via the HubSpot OAuth flow.

Usage data. We collect standard server logs (IP address, browser type, pages visited, timestamps) and product analytics via PostHog to understand how the platform is used.

3. How We Use Your Information

• To deliver and improve the Signal Beam platform and Scout Extension
• To generate AI-powered sales intelligence from LinkedIn profile context you provide
• To sync data with connected CRM systems (HubSpot) on your behalf
• To process payments and manage your subscription
• To send transactional emails and support communications
• To monitor for errors, abuse, and security issues

We do not sell your personal data to third parties.

4. AI Processing

Signal Beam uses large language model (LLM) APIs, including OpenAI, to generate intelligence, summaries, and outreach drafts. Profile context submitted through Scout may be sent to these providers as part of that processing. OpenAI's data usage policies apply to that transmission. We do not use your data to train our own models, and we do not share identifiable customer data with AI providers beyond what is required to fulfill your request.

5. Data Storage and Security

Data is stored in MongoDB Atlas (cloud-hosted, US region) and Amazon Web Services (S3, SQS). We use AWS KMS for encryption of sensitive values at rest. Data in transit is encrypted via TLS. We apply role-based access controls and audit our infrastructure regularly.

No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure. If you believe your account has been compromised, contact us immediately at support@signalbeam.ai.

6. Data Sharing

We share data only with:

• Service providers — cloud infrastructure (AWS), database (MongoDB Atlas), payments (Stripe), email (AWS SES), analytics (PostHog), and AI processing (OpenAI)
• CRM platforms — HubSpot, when you have authorized the integration
• Law enforcement or regulators — when legally required

7. Data Retention

We retain your account data for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide services. After account closure, we delete or anonymize your data within 90 days, except where retention is required by law.

8. Your Rights

Depending on your location, you may have the right to:

• Access the personal data we hold about you
• Request correction or deletion of your data
• Object to or restrict certain processing
• Export your data in a portable format

9. Chrome Extension — Specific Disclosures

• Scout only activates on linkedin.com pages
• Scout does not use persistent background scripts that run when LinkedIn is not open
• Scout does not collect keystrokes, form data, or browsing history outside of LinkedIn profile/company pages
• You can disable or remove Scout at any time from chrome://extensions without affecting your Signal Beam account

10. Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy from time to time. We will notify active users of material changes via email or an in-app notice. The effective date at the top of this page reflects the most recent revision.
